'GREY' vs 'GRAY'

When do we use the words 'grey' and 'gray'?
The word 'grey' is a colour when black is mixed with white. This is the proper spelling for the description.
Do we use the word 'gray'?
Well, 'gray' is the american spelling for 'grey'. As we use British English to communicate in Singapore, we use the word 'grey' and not 'gray'.

Please be mindful when you are using this word. =)

Hi Wanfang, Singapore uses the British spelling because we used to be under the British rule before Singapore was independent. So since then we have used British English to communicate in writing.

We have not been under the American rule before, which might have been the reason why we do not follow American spelling.

Using one common type of English makes way for less confusion too! That is why we use British English.
